HIGH VISIBILITY AS 4602.1:2024 - AUSTRALIAN STANDARD

The AS 4602.1:2024 standard for high visibility safety garments, sets clear visibility requirements for workers in high-risk settings such as areas with moving vehicles or heavy equipment.

The 2024 update, building upon the 2011 version, improves the guidelines for materials, garment design, and durability, aiming to enhance wearer visibility and safety. The most notable update to the standard is in the Day/Night and Night Classes, where new levels for the minimum requirements of tape configuration have been introduced.

Portwest’s high visibility clothing is designed and manufactured to comply with the newly updated AS 4602.1:2024 high visibility standard. Our clothing complies with the previous version AS/ NZS 4602.1:2011 and many of our garments also comply to the EN ISO 20471 standard, which is internationally recognised.
