Benefits of LAYERING

Layering provides increased performance and comfort. Layering garments can also increase the total arc thermal protective value (ATPV) ratings to levels greater than the sum of individual arc ratings. Layering also allows for quick adjustments based on the level of protection needed for different tasks.

Flame Resistant Electric Arc Range Arc flash incidents can occur in any industry where electrical equipment is being worked on or operated. Up to 80% of all electrical injuries are burns relating to arc flash. Consequences can be catastrophic for workers and businesses alike and it is therefore vital that adequate risk control is in place. This includes ensuring that all personnel working in or near risk areas are wearing the correct PPE. At Portwest we understand the importance of hazard protection and have 73 products in our range which offer protection against the thermal energy created by an electric arc.
