2. Wash the facepiece components. a. Prepare a solution of cleaner sanitizer according to instructions. b. Wash the facepiece and components thoroughly in the cleaner sanitizer solution. Use a soft brush on the facepiece and headgear assembly to loosen any caked on dirt. c. Rinse the facepiece and components in clean warm water and then let dry completely. 3. Reassemble your facepiece after following all steps outlined in the section “INSPECTION” from the printed user instruction manual: Use the replacement part schematic at the end of the printed user instruction manual. a. Inspect all components as they are being assembled. Replace any that are damaged or missing. b. Prior to attaching cartridge connector to facepiece, ensure o-ring, (Part Number 805003) is placed in groove that is centered around cartridge connector port on lens. Place cartridge connector into lens and turn clockwise until audible click is heard and connector is locked into place. c. Put one set of inhalation valves on the cartridge connectors, making sure they lie flat against the connectors. d. Install the gasket groove side up onto the connector (Figures 41 and 42). The gasket must be seated below the connector threading.

e. Verify the nozzle o-ring is free from debris and install the o-ring onto the nozzle. Apply lubricant (see parts list) or equivalent to the o-ring. f. From inside of the lens, align the top and bottom ribs on the front of the nozzle with the notches in the lens. Push the nozzle inward until both latches engage with lens. An audible click should be heard. g. Inspect the installed nozzle o-ring for proper installation and seal. If the o-ring appears twisted, pinched or extruding out of the o-ring groove, remove the nozzle, lubricate the o-ring and reinstall the nozzle. h. Insert the nozzle plug gasket with inhalation valve into the nozzle port. Thread in the nozzle plug using a quarter or similar item in the molded slot to hand-tighten. i. Insert the exhalation valve into the nozzle exhalation valve seat and pull in the tab until you hear a “click”. When inserted correctly the flat end of the exhalation valve will be flush with the seat. j. Install the nozzle cover by engaging the cover on the nozzle upper hook. Pivot cover downward until both lower latches engage the cover. An audible click should be heard. k. Install one set of inhalation valves onto the nose cup seats. Install the nose cup seats into the nose cup. From inside the lens install the nose cup onto the nozzle. Verify the nose cup is properly seated in the nozzle groove and the inhalation valves lie flat against the seats. l. Hold the facepiece firmly against your face and exhale several times to ensure that the exhalation valve functions smoothly m. Carefully inspect the respirator. n. Connect cartridges and/or filters to the threaded connectors.
