Honeywell FENZY BIO-S-CAPE Manual

Check that the cleaning agent chosen does not contain any corrosive components (for example: organic solvents) likely to attack perishable components and that no liquid or dirt enters cavities in the apparatus. Do not introduce a compressed air jet into the cavities containing fragile components such as diaphragms, springs, valves or seals, so as to not damage them.

Disinfecting The breathing hood must be disinfected after cleaning and drying, using a disinfectant, such as 'EPI U-S' P/N 1779065 (distributed by HONEYWELL), which is bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal, taking care to follow the instructions on the container. Drying After cleaning and disinfecting are completed, dry all the parts of the apparatus at a temperature from +5°C to 50°C. Avoid any form of heat radiation (sunlight, oven or central heating). It is strongly advisable to clean pressure conducting parts (pressure reducer, air pressure reducing system and coupling sensor) with a low-pressure jet of compressed air in order to eliminate any trace of humidity. Checks The working of the apparatus must be inspected every time it is cleaned or if any spare parts are changed. The inspection must be carried out an agent authorised by HONEYWELL. Appropriate procedures are reminded in the BIO-S-CAPE INSPECT AND REPAIR MANUAL. Reconditionning the product Appropriate procedures are reminded in the BIO-S- CAPE INSPECT AND REPAIR MANUAL, including the proper way of putting the hose into the bag, the folding of the hood, the activation of the trigger and the proper sealing of the device. Unproper recondtionning may lead to future product misuse. Storage The clean dry FENZY BIO-S-CAPE can be stored in an appropriate sealed cabinet or cupboard. Make sure that the apparatus is placed on t he support plate and that the strap is not folded. The FENZY BIO-S-CAPE must be stored in a cool place. The storage area must be dry and free of any gases or fumes. Avoid exposure to significant direct light or sunlight and keep away from radiant heat sources. The recommended storage temperature should be between +5°C and +45°C. For special storage conditions (under outdoor shelters etc.), please contact our technical department. FREQUENCY OF MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION OPERATIONS Perform the following checks on all FENZY BIO-S-CAPE units: Before use: • Check the seal. • Check the pressure gauge: it must indicate a pressure inside the cylinder never less than 180 bar at 15°. Periodic visual checks: • Check the seal. • Check the pressure gauge: it must indicate a pressure inside the cylinder never less than 180 bar at 15°. • Check the external appearance of the apparatus. The periodic checking frequency can vary according to local regulation. Honeywell recommends not to exceed one week between two periodic checkings. Periodic annual checks: • Check the proper triggering of the device. • Check the flow. • Check the pressure gauge. • Check the hood. • Check the external appearance of the apparatus. The appropriate procedures are reminded in the BIO-S- CAPE INSPECT AND REPAIR MANU AL. Every 6 years: • Complete service of the FENZY BIO-S-CAPE, including the pressure reducing valve, must be performed by an agent authorised by HONEYWELL.

If the apparatus is stored under conditions different from those recommended, an annual visual check of the hood is essential.

SPARE PARTS The spare parts of the FENZY BIO-S-CAPE device are presented through exploded views in the spare parts price list (price and part number), which is available on request.
