EXTREME CONDITIONS COMFORT IN

SUN AND UV RAYS Working under direct sunlight exposes workers to harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, which can cause skin damage, leading to sunburn, premature aging, and an increased risk of skin cancer. Eyes are also vulnerable, impairing vision and causing potential errors but can lead to ocular damage over time.

PORTWEST SOLUTIONS:

We offer UPF50+ apparel to protect skin from UV rays. Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) is the measure we use to indicate how effectively an unstretched dry fabric blocks UV radiation; the higher the UPF, the better the fabric is at protecting the skin from UV rays.

We provide eye protection to filter ultraviolet radiation and sun glare. Portwest indicates the UV filters and visible light performances to help when making a selection.

• Light mirror lenses ease the transition between indoor and outdoor reducing squinting and preventing eye fatigue. • Smoke lenses offer essential protection from bright light and effective sun coverage. • Polarised lenses are particularly suited to block glare when working near water or other wet surfaces.
