INSTRUCTIONS

PRE-RIGGING THE MED SLED ® FOR WATER

INSTANT FLOTATION SYSTEM The Med Sled ® Flotation System enables water rescues while keeping the patient’s head above water. Flotation logs and chest pad should be “pre-rigged” to a Med Sled ® VLR sled prior to water deployment whenever possible.

STEP 2 Unclip the top two cross straps and pass an end though the chest pad loops. Oral inflation should be facing top.

STEP 1

Unroll Med Sled ® and tighten the Foot Loop Strap till sides bend vertical.

STEP 3 Tighten all cross straps until sides of sled are vertical.

STEP 4 Attach the float logs to the Med Sled ® by passing the female buckle ends through the perimeter tether beginning at the top at all three perimeter tether locations.

C0 2 DETONATORTABS

To inflate: Blow two breaths into chest pad oral inflator and pull the CO 2 detonator tab. If partial inflation for float logs is necessary, blow into oral inflator to desired level.
