KStrong Case Study - PT PANASONIC MANUFACTURING INDONESIA
Project case study
Client : PT Panasonic Manufacturing Indonesia Project name : Overhead Lifeline System for Loading/Unloading Activities Products used : AFF4000 Overhead Lifeline System w/ Brute SRL Series
Background Panasonic Manufacturing Indonesia is a home appliance manufacturer that markets its products under the well known PANASONIC brand. As part of their manufacturing process, operators are required to climb onto trucks to load and unload raw materials and finished goods. These activities are classified as Work at Height, which increases the potential for fall hazards. Panasonic places a strong emphasis on safety, with regulations in place to protect workers. In line with their commitment to achieving zero accidents, the company is making additional efforts to improve safety conditions for work at height. Requirement To enhance safety, an overhead lifeline system combined with a Self Retracting Device was required to ensure the safest conditions for operators working above the trucks. Another key requirement was that the system align with how the trucks were parked, making access both simple and safe. Additionally, it was mandated that all operators receive training on the use of the overhead system, which was provided by KStrong. The installation team was also required to be certified for work-at-height installations and equipped with the appropriate PPE during the installation process.
