WHY COMFORT MATTERS

In industries such as manufacturing, oil and gas, agriculture and food and beverage, employees often work in environments where they are exposed to airborne contaminants, such as dust, fumes, gas, smoke or vapors. Respiratory protection is a must, and there is a wide range of personal protective equipment (PPE) from which to choose — including reusable half mask air-purifying respirators. A key problem, however, is that many of the options are uncomfortable, particularly when they must be worn continuously throughout an entire work shift. DESIGNED FOR MAXIMUM COMFORT From the materials it’s made of to its tailored fit, the Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask is designed to provide maximum employee comfort, as well as optimal protection, flexibility and durability. Made from 100% medical-grade, skin-contact safe silicone, 7700 Series Half Mask is Honeywell’s lightest silicone facepiece. Its lightweight, contoured design reduces the “weighed down” feeling of many comparable elastomeric respirators. The Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask also features a cradle suspension system that helps prevent the slipping that’s common with conventional strap systems. The upper head straps have minimum give to provide secure support. The lower head straps stretch and move with the wearer, helping ensure greater comfort without pulling on the facepiece. The contoured sealing surface eliminates pressure points as well, while the extended side flanges ensure the best possible seal during talking or other facial motions. The mask’s design provides greater support around the chin area and more flexibility on the nose bridge. The varying thickness in the sealing areas also contributes to optimal comfort and enhanced fit and support. In addition, minimal dead air space in the Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask improves worker comfort by limiting re-breathing of exhaled air. Its low inhalation and exhalation resistance also makes breathing easier to reduce worker fatigue. DURABILITY FACILITATES LASTING BENEFITS The durability of elastomeric respirators is critical for maximizing long-term worker protection and cost-efficient use. Both the material composition and design of the Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask help ensure its resilience, maintainability and lasting performance. Silicone, in general, is known to have high tear resistance, superior tensile strength, good elongation, flexibility and a low compression set. This further helps extend product life. Because silicone resists distortion, its use in the Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask contributes to a better fit that lasts over time — and a better fit translates to better protection. In addition, softer forms of silicone, like that used in the Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask, have the ability to retain their softness indefinitely. That helps ensure that the mask’s comfort features last throughout its lifecycle as well. Another benefit of the use of silicone is that it is non-reactive with chemicals as well as many other fluid materials. This enables the silicone seals in the Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask to remain durable when exposed to fluids that could wear down other elastomeric materials over time. All of these material benefits contribute to durability, enabling the Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask to be repeatedly disinfected, cleaned and reused. That, in turn, contributes to greater cost efficiencies.

FLEXIBILITY AND FUNCTION The Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask is also designed for versatility. The integration of features that ensure optimal comfort and protection enables it to protect workers in a wide range of work environments and for long time periods. In addition to its comfort features, the Honeywell 7700 Series Half Mask is easy to take on and off, clean and reuse. Threaded cartridge connectors prevent accidental disconnection. The direct cartridge-to-facepiece seal eliminates the need for a cartridge gasket, minimizing replacement parts and simplifying maintenance. It’s available in three overlapping sizes that will comfortably fit most users. Its low-profile design gives workers a wide field of vision. It doesn’t interfere with protective eyewear and easily fits under helmets and face shields for more versatile use. It easily connects to a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) or Continuous Flow Supplied Air Respirator (CF-SAR). It’s compatible with all Honeywell N-Series filters and cartridges for use in multiple applications. NIOSH-approved for use with a backpack adaptor for welding and painting applications. Warranty Information Honeywell Safety Products warrants the 7700 Series to the original owner to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original shipment from Honeywell’s factory. Honeywell’s obligation under this warranty will be, at Honeywell’s option, to repair or replace without charge this facepiece or any of its components found by Honeywell to have been defective during the warranty period, under the following terms:1) The warranty claim is made (i) by the owner who purchased this facepiece new from Honeywell or an authorized Honeywell Distributor, and (ii) not more than three (3) months after the end of the warranty period. 2) This facepiece or component is found by Honeywell to have been defective in normal use and service during the warranty period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the owner. 3) This facepiece or component is returned freight prepaid to Honeywell, either to its factory or to a Honeywell authorized service center, and is thereafter returned to the owner freight collect. 4) This warranty does not apply to (i) any respirator or component found by Honeywell to have become defective as a result of any accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, or servicing with parts not approved by Honeywell; or (ii) deterioration or aging of any component made of rubber or other elastomer since such components can be adversely affected by undue exposure to heat, sun, water, chemicals, ozone or other deteriorating elements; (iii) ) facepiece lens, compressed-air cylinders and parts that become defective through normal use. The decision as to what constitutes normal use shall be made solely by HONEYWELL SAFETY PRODUCTS. 5) To maintain this warranty, the purchaser must perform maintenance and inspections as set forth in the Instruction Manual which shall include prompt replacement or repair of defective parts, and replacement of parts per the maintenance schedule as set forth in the User’s Instructions. THE OWNER ASSUMES ALL OTHER RISKS, IF ANY, SUCH AS THE RISK OF ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF, OR INABLILTY TO USE, THE PRODUCT. SERVICING HONEYWELL SAFETY PRODUCTS RESPIRATORS WITH PARTS NOT APPROVED BY HONEYWELL WILL VOID THIS WARRANTY AND THE NIOSH APPROVAL FOR THE RESPIRATOR UNIT.
