RU6500 RESPIRATOR 1. Remove the respirator components: a. Remove the oral/nasal cup by gently pulling it away from the nozzle assembly (Figure 8). b. Remove the inhalation valve seats from the oral/nasal cup (Figure 9). c. Pull out the inhalation valves from the valve seats (Figure 10). d. Dismount the nozzle cover from the assembly by pushing the tabs inwards and lifting the cover upwards (Figure 11). e. To remove the nozzle, grasp the outside of the lens with both hands so that both thumbs can push inward and downward (Figure 12). f. Remove the exhalation valve from the nozzle by pulling it frontward (Figure 13). g. To remove the cartridge connectors, lift the locking tab and rotate the connector counter-clockwise, then push inwards the facepiece (Figure 14). h. Remove the O-rings from the cartridge connector by pulling the tab (Figures 15 and 16). i. Pull the inhalation valve from the cartridge connector to remove it (Figure 17).

2. Wash the facepiece components. a. Prepare a solution of cleaner sanitizer according to instructions. b. Wash the facepiece and components thoroughly in the cleaner sanitizer solution. Use a soft brush on the facepiece and headgear assembly to loosen any caked on dirt. c. Rinse the facepiece and components in clean warm water and then let dry completely. 3. Reassemble your facepiece after following all steps outlined in the section “INSPECTION” from the printed user instruction manual: Use the replacement part schematic at the end of the printed user instruction manual. a. Inspect all components as they are being assembled. Replace any that are damaged or missing. b. Prior to attaching cartridge connector to facepiece, ensure o-ring, (Part Number 805003) is placed in groove that is centered around cartridge connector port on lens. Place cartridge connector into lens and turn clockwise until audible click is heard and connector is locked into place.
