HAND AND BODY > GENERAL INFORMATION

YOUR HANDS DESERVE EXPERT GLOVES Combining comfort, protection and ergonomics for user safety, designing gloves suited for all uses in a work environment demonstrates our commitment towards maximum user safety.

Chemical protection gloves Chemical protection gloves, whether protected via direct soaking from porcelain vehicles or through soaking on supports, are synonymous with extreme performance in terms of resistance against the most diverse risks. The choice and combination of raw materials during manufacturing is essential to ensure the expected results: • Néoprène: resists diluted acids and petroleum products • Nbr (nitrile butadien rubber): excellent resistance to oil, hydrocarbons, and solvents as well as to perforation • PVC: very high abrasion resistance Chainmesh gloves and aprons Chainmesh gloves and aprons combine strength, reliability and safety. Designed to provide total protection, our products are light, ergonomic and tough enough for the most difficult conditions.

With solid experience in industrial risk, Honeywell designs and manufactures all of its gloves with the aim of guaranteeing comfort, safety and suitability in the workplace. Our business know-how at each stage of production ensures a uniform level of quality. Furthermore, close relationships have been entered into with large industry companies (automotive, agri-food, glass, foundry, metallurgy, etc.) A LARGE RANGE SUITED TO ALL SITUATIONS AND ALL PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENTS Cut/sewn gloves The natural qualities of leather has made cut/sewn gloves the ideal glove for protection. Its qualities of comfort, longevity and its high mechanical resistance performances are now optimised by specific chemical treatments applied to the skin. Knitted and dipped gloves Due to the high level of comfort and the exceptional dexterity, seamless knitted gloves have become the product of choice in many industries. Depending on the properties required, natural fibres such as cotton can be used for its comfort and its ability to absorb humidity, and synthetic fibres such as polyamide or polyester, for their resistance and even high performance fibres. Coveralls The Honeywell range of coveralls has been developed to provide full body protection to meet the requirements of different users across various industries and applications. These coveralls are designed to adapt to the varying risk exposures of workers.

EN 388:2016 NEW STANDARD – WHAT’S THE NEW EN ISO 13997 TDM CUT RESISTANCE TEST METHOD? With the introduction of a new cut test method – EN ISO 13997 TDM, hand protection now complies with the most rigorous assessment procedures. Here’s what you need to know about how your gloves were rated in the past and why the new process is more stringent and reliable. Before • The so-called “Coupe test” implied repeated cycles using the same blade. • Cut levels range from 1 to 5. • Steel, glass fibre, and abrasive surfaces could have caused dullness of the blades. • Less accurate results for higher levels of cut protection. After • In the new TDM-100 Test, each blade is used only once. • The performance levels range from A to F, depending on the cut resistance, and measuring the force required to cut the specimen. • The issue of blunting and dull blades is eliminated. • Increased accuracy results, no matter how high the levels of cut protection are (including gloves with abrasive fibres).

COLOUR CODING SYSTEM PROVIDES QUICK AT-A-GLANCE ASSESSMENT OF THE CORRECT

CUT PROTECTION LEVEL. Honeywell cut control gloves.

The perfect system for managing cut hazard. Eliminates confusion where colour alone is relied upon, providing confidence and control without the risk. • Letter and colour combination guarantees the right protection level. • Easy visual check ensures the correct glove is being worn. • Dexterous and flexible handling combined with superb cut resistance.

HAND PROTECTION > Chemical Resistant

FIVE STRENGTHS IN YOUR HANDS

Handling tools in chemical environments exposes you to a wide range of hazardous substances, but also to cut and puncture risks. Typical chemical gloves are often thick, slippery and sweaty, causing poor dexterity, hand fatigue and discomfort. And that poses a significant threat to your safety, productivity and job satisfaction. Combining all the features a worker needs from a chemical glove, Honeywell has created Flextril, the hand protection solution that puts five strengths in your hands – chemical protection, cut resistance, wet and dry grip, dexterity and comfort. Working in chemical environments is a challenging job. Increasing your safety and productivity in the workplace is a challenge for us. Honeywell is launching Flextril™, the hand protection solution providing fivefold performance – high chemical protection, reliable cut resistance, great wet and dry grip, enhanced dexterity and improved comfort. Moreover, with the printed QR code, you have all the performance data at your fingertips.

1. High Chemical Protection Made from synthetic rubber, Flextril gloves are a great choice for handling chemicals in wet and dry environments. The nitrile barrier protects your hands against irritants, or other potentially hazardous materials, while also providing puncture resistance. In compliance with food contact legislation, Flextril is also a good option for food processing units. 2. RELIABLE CUT RESISTANCE With Flextril, you can rely on your chemical protection and never worry about mechanical hazards. Flextril range offers optimal protection against lacerations when working in chemical environments. Have the right gloves for your application. The range offers cut protection level A/A1 and C/A3, according to your needs. 3. ENHANCED GRIP PERFORMANCE Get your job done perfectly, no matter if you work in a wet or dry environment. Honeywell used the Super Grip Technology (SGT) to create Flextril’s specially designed coating, providing you with the grip performance you’ve always desired when wearing chemical gloves. Thus, Flextril gloves reduce the effort needed to hold and handle tools, minimizing hand fatigue and increasing work productivity 4. GREAT DEXTERITY When working in chemical or abrasive environments or when extensive use is required, dexterity is crucial for getting your job done well and fast. With Flextril, you can handle your tools even more efficiently with optimal thickness gloves offering enhanced dexterity and increased ease of movement while reducing hand fatigue and boosting work productivity. 5. SUPERIOR COMFORT Flextril’s new ergonomic design delivers high-performance hand support and comfort. Perspiration is no longer a problem when wearing chemical gloves. With Flextril’s sweat management features and incorporated Honeywell Moisture Dispersion Technology (MDT), your hands will stay dry and comfortable till you clock out.
